Defund Planned Parenthood (02/11/2017)

 

A modest protest was held near Planned Parenthood here in Colorado Springs.  It was part of a nationwide protest against government funding of Planned Parenthood.  Unfortunately, the Colorado Spring location was only announced the night before.  There were about 15-20 protesters when we were there.  The image doesn't include everyone, but it does include Pikes Peak.  Alas, I didn't check my camera settings and under-exposed by a lot.

 

Today happens to be something called National Make a New Friend Day, or something like that.  We met some new people and had some good conversations.

 

Now I will pontificate a bit.  Colorado Springs is a very pro-life city.  Even though the announcement was very late, we ought to do better in terms of turnout.  I can do better at this website as well.  Though info and links were provided on our actions page, I could have done more to get the word out. 

 

Going forward, whenever there are protests, rallies or other events that should be of interest to those of us in the Springs, I'll do more to draw attention to them.  I can also put together an email list if people are interested.  If you are, go to our contact us page and subscribe to our email notifications.  I'll send out notifications to local events to all Colorado residents.  You may get some other website related emails, but I don't send them out often.
